A typographic response to a traditional Arabic drumming rhythm titled ‘Baladi’. The white space between every black line is exactly proportionate to the rests between each drum beat in the rhythm, so that if one were to slowly brush their finger along the lines, the Baladi rhythm would, in essence, be played (and felt) by the viewer, thus turning the linear design into a kind of percussion instrument.
